Until September
long since finished Season 2 of Lost (Mary and I were the last, giving in the U.S.) and then we do not mind (too much) because we also were down the 2 nd Galactica. Those were the days where there was always prepared to see, warm and fresh out of e-mule! But it was our anxiety that we had just as well with all other episodes of that series. Until September episodes will not either.
resigned and found
We are delighted that the fool on the hill old tricks again. We had entertainment television for Tuesday night. We missed an episode because they changed it to Wednesday without warning (maybe in Spain if they did, but I doubt it, but the International Apañola TV does not warn of such things). But yesterday also found that just and will not return until at least after the summer. I decided to catch me
stoically, thinking that at least I had my beloved The world in 24 hours , a program that deals in depth with issues that come out every day in the news (Iraq, Iran ...) and those who never leave (Saudi Arabia, Mozambique ...). How I was wrong! When program ended his bearded presenter announced that he said goodbye ... until September.
thought that once finished college this would begin to be a month like the others, but no. That is the curse of the ninth month. ------
And things will happen in September, but I still can not pronounce those.

Purple Heart For Catching Std
Data "Real" Je suis
recently sent me a forward that I suppose many of you may have already read (the first time I did was made a matter of 5 or six years). It's one of those lists of facts "real" but unusual. Now I know Wikipedia, I have been researching and have found that some are false while others are true. Here are my conclusions:
1) It is impossible to lick your elbow.
2) Multiplying 111,111,111 x 111,111,111 you get 12,345,678,987,654,321
These two are so easy TRY yourselves.
3) The equestrian statues, the position of the horse's legs informs the rider how he died.
This is false, but sometimes match.
4) In the U.S. all have interstate highways one mile straight out of five, to be used as airstrips in times of war and / or emergency.
This is partially true. Those who did but the Yankees were not the Germans during World War 2.
5) The name Jeep comes from the abbreviation of General Purpose used by the U.S. military.
This is false as well.
6) The Pentagon has twice the necessary baths. because when it was built, the law required a dark bathroom and one for whites.
Unfortunately this is true.
7) It is impossible to sneeze with your eyes open.
Although it is very difficult, not impossible.
8) Both Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra as William Shakespeare died on April 23, 1616.
This is double trick. To begin Cervantes died on day 22 but was buried on 23. Ignore this happening, although the date is the same, it is not the same day as when Shakespeare died England still used the Julian calendar , while Cervantes did when Spain had already adopted the Gregorian calendar ) (in the current calendar had Shakespeare died May 3, 1616).
9) The quack of a duck ( quack, quack ) does not echo and nobody knows why.
This is false but has an explanation. It's a bit long so you can better yourselves read and hear a duck and with no echo for comparison.
10) Each king in a letter (from the French deck) represents a great king from history: King David ( ♠ ), Alexander ( ♥ ), Julio Cesar ( ♦ ) and Charlemagne ( ♣ ).
This is true even other figures also represent more people. But if you want him to refer me Wikipedia .
11) Right-handers on average live nine years longer than lefties.
Although in 1991 a study was published claiming that it has been proven not true. Anyway, the study was not based on genetic issues but said he lived lefties least the best chance of having an accident while living in a right-handed world.
12) The cockroach can live nine days without its head before starving.
According to Wikipedia, is "only" a week and does not seem to die of hunger because they can last one month without food. And not only that, can hold their breath for 45 minutes. Tremble, mortals!
13) Elephants are the only animals of creation that can not jump.
is true that can not jump ... which I doubt is that they are the only ones (which I have not checked).
14) Mosquitoes have teeth.
47, it seems.
15) The word "cemetery" comes from Greek meaning koimetirion "bedroom."
Right.
16) In ancient England people could not have sex without the King's consent. When someone wanted a child should apply for a permit to the monarch, who gave them a plaque to be hung on their door while they had relations. The plaque said "Fornication Under Consent of the King" (FUCK). That is the origin of such famous little word.
Nice try but no. not alone. Actually it is not clear from where the word in question, not as its English-language heteronym fuck that comes from 'bellows' .
17) During the Civil War, when troops returned to barracks without any casualties, put in a great Slate "0 Killed" (zero deaths). From this comes the expression "OK" to say everything is fine.
It is not known with certainty the origin of this expression, probably the most used around the world. There are several theories and this does not seem to be the most probable.
18) In the monasteries, while reading the Scriptures in referring to St. Joseph, always said "Pater Putatibus" and simplify "PP." Thus was born the call "Pepe" to Joseph. Mostly
.
19) In the New Testament book of Matthew says that "Furthermore easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven . "The little problem is that St. Jerome, translator of the text, interpreted the word" Kamelas "as the camel, when in fact referring to the thick rope with which vessels are moored to the docks.
Right.
20) When the English conquerors arrived in Australia, they were amazed to see some strange animals that gave incredible jumps. Immediately called a native (indigenous Australians were extremely peaceful) and I tried to ask by the name of the animal signs. Noting that the Indian always said "Kan Chu Ru " adopted the English word "kangaroo " (hence kangaroo). The linguists determined after meaning, which was very clear, the Indians wanted to say " do not understand."
really the word kangaroo comes from gangurru , a word of Guugu Yimidhirr, an Australian Aboriginal language. Referred only to the gray kangaroo (it seems that there are several!) But that's not important.
21) The area known as Mexico's Yucatan comes from the English conquest when one asked a native as they called there. The Indian said: " Yucatan." What the English did not know was that he was answering: "I'm not here ."
There are several similar stories but has never succeeded in proving its truth (or falsehood).
22) It took 22 centuries to calculate the distance between Earth and the Sun (149.4 million km). What if we had known long before someone would have thought 1,000,000,000 multiplied by the height of the pyramid of Cheops at Giza, built 30 centuries before Christ.
I was going to put this theory was a bit caught by the hair (there was a gap of 3 million kilometers) when I discovered that although the minimum distance is 146 million km, the maximum is 152 ... If you do the media. I, in the case of the Egyptians, I believe it all.
23) You can make a cow up stairs but not the lower.
I have come to find an answer that has me convinced. I've found say it is because cows are too feeble legs. Not me. There is a page called Bovine Descenders offered in your cow down to where it was uploaded. For me it's a joke.

Leaking Heart Valve In The Elderly
ma chouchou you ecole de français
For about a month Maria is also my French school (Although it only one hour a week ago, when it leaves the pit) and enjoy the classes and Viviane Edmond and their carlins Nichuan and Sunna. Yesterday was her first class with Viviane and this when it was learned that Mary was my girlfriend said Aaahh, you est la petite amie de Nicolas, you chouchou de l'ecole! So it turns out I'm like Agnan, which goes in the books of Nicholas The small, but without being a nerd and without wearing glasses.
I think everything is because once I went to Paris to visit the ex-pariseños, Edmond I sent a postcard. The whole front office is full of postcards sent alumni of all places imaginable but the rarity of my post was that instead of appearing the typical image of the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre, just had a quote from Camus that read, "Je donc je me suis Revolte." I went "cheap" postcard, do not you think?

Message To Welcome Newborns
Family and Apana, Apana and naadi ma!
This weekend my parents came to visit my sister. As you can imagine, there were two days of good food, shop and sightsee galore. Among the "Highlites" of the weekend were the Marchée aux Puces, the Delirium Tremens (we are not very original, true), the Museum of Comic and Bruges. Also went to several and varied restaurants: one Italian, one Japanese, one Belgian and one of turist fully Grote Markt in Bruges, the worst and most expensive. The
Marchée aux puces my mother bought me an old photo album with which I am amazed. For a while, just over a year or maybe two, I collect old photos. Especially portraits or everyday life situations (ie, not so much landscapes or the like). I love how people dressed, hair and imagine what happened to them and why they will waste your photos. My new album blew my mind because "narrates the life of a family from 1951 to 1973, so well I can go watch them grow. But I have not had time to see well.
Mary went quickly into the familiar anecdotes after jumping a red light with her in-laws in power in the car. My father asked scared: Does that here you can? ) Obviously not. To top it off, they asked one of the most popular dishes in a Belgian restaurant we went to dinner Saturday: Ris de veau et Rognon the Moutarde et jesequoi . It was fairly proactive and asked what was the 'ris' (neck meat) but he went to ask about the 'Rognon'. When he discovered it was kidney, and the front plate, eat insisted all forms. When I came to the arcades, forced her to quit. There are already similar family experiences, as when Pepe begged my sister not to tell him my mother did not like the gazpacho ... with my mother back. Still, Pepe insisted on drinking a glass and "loved it." Marta says she is his favorite dish. (Pepich, if you're reading me, I'm with you).
On the other hand, Janneke Pis (the little sister of Manneken Pis Meona) miraculously worked this weekend. I think I've said it once: it the marginalized have a blind alley and behind bars ... and above did not work. In Spain already had complained (rightly) an association feminist sexism and wife beating.
Finally I comment what you already know: Spain won yesterday. Yop Mary and went to see him with some friends to a bar near the Asturian Midi station. It was very different compared to the first party and that I only saw me in a Belgian bar and emotion was lower. Instead I cried yesterday, I screwed up (with love) in the Tunisian players and also in English. Furthermore, as we started losing the victory tasted better. And that I'm not furbolero ...

Mmmmmm, lluviaaa ...
seems impossible to read this and more living in Brussels. After a week of intense heat, humid and oppressive, it has been raining. They told me that the stalled only last until today but this morning I refused to believe it. The sun was shining and our house was a real sauna. In the afternoon the clouds started to arrive. And at 23:30 it has started to rain. Once again, Brussels is like a clock.
As we have the windows open wide, I can hear the light rain was falling and I feel like entering the cool (not cold) at home. I really needed. I hope this falls a good night. And even make a little scratch. I love when you fall off pikes peak, it seems that at any moment will break the windows, and I'm in my duvet watching the flashes of lightning and hearing the occasional thunder security that goes beyond double glazing.
Anyway, back to the reality of everyday Brussels, I also hope that tomorrow will be sunny again. Or at least this weekend. I think not. -------------------------------

sun, heat and free classes a year in Brussels
Since we returned from Madrid, the heat is unbearable. Our landlord cut the heating gas in March, taking advantage of a sunny weekend that was. Although the house was a bit "cool" we thought necessary to ask not to reconnect the gas until about a month ago, when it passed through Brussels a cold snap and we nearly froze. I even went back to put the winter coat, long underwear and wool scarf. But at home we could not and so we asked Mohammed that we "give heat." He said he was out of Brussels and would do as he could, which was the following weekend, a day before he started to get hot (never know if it was racaneo or luck).
That was Friday before going to visit Madrid. And since we returned, the heat is death. You can not live. In Spain but I will make sure that everything is better prepared for the heat. This Sunday we take and we went to Bois de la Cambre, a kind of retreat that we have next door. Buy Fruit and anti-sun cream factor 20 (which if I do not burn) and we spent the day talking and playing cards scattered on the grass. We were in front of a pond where ducks and had all but bathing was not an option. To give you an idea of \u200b\u200bwhat the water was dirty, had a sign saying that if someone wanted to feed the ducks, hiciese the favor of putting food on the shore and not throw it overboard to avoid cogiesen Gobtubby (which, as indicated in parentheses, is a fatal disease.)
In another vein, last Thursday I went to ask Edmond, my teacher of French, that the will had to pay for it mois prochaine . [When I returned to the fold (and I was in class last summer) I told him I was looking for work as just going to take classes for a month (which is more expensive than if you take two months of injury), he offered me that if the end of that period found no gigs, I would charge as if he had caught the pack of two months from the beginning.] Actually did not even know when the month had been paid and when I asked when I had to pay the following me told me not to worry, that he could continue to learn for free. I'd be delighted, of course. Are the kinds of things that go up the morale and confidence, things that always goes missing when looking for work unsuccessfully.

Milena Velba Pump Images
Today marks one year of my arrival in Brussels. The first time I came, on April 21, 2005, was to visit but soon returned. In the beginning was also seen, only three months to spend the summer with Mary and learn some French. But a month later I decided to stay until further notice. Mary and I spent two months looking for a house to ourselves at that time and even shared an apartment with Tina and did not plan to stay in that position for one year. After much searching, we moved on 1 September.
At that time I also found another thing I'm looking back now. Work. I was a few months Echoes in the magazine but then the "bargain" is out and I had to point to unemployment, not a strike and that incurs black magazine with all its disadvantages. And so I, stuck at home looking for work through my web friends: EuroBrussels , Brusselsjobs , xPats , CategoryNet , JobsAbroad , Eurojobs consultants and others more sporadically.
The general balance of the year has been pretty good. Mary and I each day we are more comfortable. I met many people and I defend myself a little French, but I still have much to learn and practice. The only thing I need is a job. I've done a few interviews (some that I have mentioned on this blog and others not) but for now has not left any gigs. At least I have served to practice the art of being interviewed for a job and climb a little morale of the unemployed, always a little low. If work is bad, finding a job is worse.
