JOE'S GARAGE (Excerpts)

by Frank Zappa

The inept desperate high offices around the world have been known to enact the most disgusting pieces of legislation win votes (or, in places where they have to vote, to control unwanted forms of mass behavior).
environmental laws were not made to protect our air or our water ... were made to get votes. The periodic anti-obscenity campaigns are not aimed at ridding our communities of moral decay ... aim to give an aura of holiness fighter-mails that claim. If a few key phrases slip into any speech (such as expert advisors explain to several of these heads of state) votes will come rolled, the dollars will come rolled, and, most importantly, power will be preserved by the type sympathetic (or girl) to get the widest dissemination of the media for corruption. Naturally, they also go well with his friends in various businesses.
All governments perpetuate themselves through the daily commission of acts which a reasonable person would find stupid or dangerous (or both). Naturally, our government is no exception ... For example, if the president (any of them) out of the TV and sit there with the flag back (or maybe a rustic scene with a small waterfall, plus the flag) and look sincerely into the camera and tell everybody that all energy problems and all inflationary problems are rooted in and can be solved with the abolition of the MUSIC, sure most people would believe him and think that the banning of this sickening form of pollution noise would be a small price to pay for the opportunity to buy gas just like old times. "No way? Never happen? The discs are made from oil. All those great rock concerts from city to city in 45-foot trucks that guzzle fuel ... and when they get there, spend huge amounts of electricity with their lights, their amplifiers, sound systems ... their smoke machines. And all those synthesizers ... look at all the plastic that are inside ... and the guitar picks ... and what comes to mind ...
JOE'S GARAGE is a stupid story about how the government will try to kill the music (cause of an unwanted mass). It sounds like a cheap high school work ... as had been done 20 years ago, with all the sets made of cardboard boxes and paint posters. It's also like those conferences which often give local experts (where you show all the different ways you can spoil with the pills to take you to the grass to take you to the needle, etc., Etc.).
If the storyline seems a bit absurd, and if the idea of Canvassing Central enforcing laws that have not been approved yet makes you laugh, glad not to live in one of those cheerful little countries where, at this very moment, music is either very severely restricted ... or, as in Iran, totally illegal.

eventually discovered that God wanted us
not all equal.
This was

bad news for the world's governments,

because it seemed contrary to the doctrine of Regulated Servings Servings
.

Humanity had to become more uniform if they wanted

the future operation.

different ways were sought to join all
but alas,
equality could not be forced.

was about this time someone came up with the idea
the total criminalization
,

based on the principle that if we were all thugs

could at last be uniform to some degree

the eyes of the law. Cleverly

our Congress calculated that most people would
too vague to make a real crime
,
so new laws were made, making it possible for anyone

rape at any time of day or night and
Once we had all broken some kind of law,
'd all be happy at the same club,
along with the president, industrial
higher,
and clergy
bigwigs from all your favorite religions.

The total criminalization
was the biggest idea of his time and was vastly popular
,

except for those who did not want to be crooks or outlaws,

so, of course, had to force them to enter
in the game ...
which is one reason why music

was eventually declared illegal. LINKS

Red Bridge Rb 539 Memory Card Reader Driver

08/08/2008 8:00 of video post

I was long overdue, since I went to the concert of Amaral, but never find time to write. The videos had them on YouTube, but now I add them here. Reading the blog of the Petite Belgique told me it was time for that comment. The video quality is very poor and the sound just a little better, but because we were far away and are made with mobile, because I took the camera. I have also

photos.

But of course that was impressive. I've said many times, Eva Amaral that is the best English female voice is today. And that day she and Juan Aguirre and the rest of his team were wonderful, they gave everything, really deserved the penalty.

First Video:

And the second video.

And it's so ... when I hear the audience talking, thanking you for being there, I get a tenderness ...
